EVENT DETAILS:
DESCRIPTION
The AAPI SAFETY & SELF-DEFENSE WORKSHOP teaches awareness and safety strategies to avoid assaults before they happen. Students will also learn effective physical techniques addressing the most common attack situations: pushes, pulls, grabs, and purse-snatches. Rather than relying on strength, students will learn the principles of leverage, timing, and energy efficiency to defend against a stronger assailant. Regardless of age, size, strength, or physical ability, students can learn the techniques of self-defense while gaining an increased sense of personal confidence and empowerment.
INSTRUCTOR
The course will be taught by Mollii Khangsengsing, the first Laotian female black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) with 17+ years of training and teaching, founder of Sweaty Betties and co-founder of Tuff Love Self Defense.
