Mollii Khangsengsing
Head Instructor
Mollii is the first Laotian female black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) under 9x World Champion Leticia Ribeiro with 13 years of training in BJJ. She is the founder of the Sweaty Betties, one of the first groups in the country to offer free, weekly BJJ training to women. In 2010, she organized one of the largest women’s grappling camps in the country featuring several World Champion instructors, drawing attendees from all over the world. Since then, Mollii has run BJJ camps in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Maui and Costa Rica.
In addition, Mollii has over 10 years of experience teaching BJJ, self-defense, Ginastica Natural and circuit training with a specialization in women’s and girls self-defense. She lead the women’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu program at Zaytuna College, spearheads program through Four Elements Fitness Gym in Oakland to provide free monthly women’s self-defense workshops to low-in/risk communities and volunteer her time and teaching at the Guardian gym, a non-profit gym that provides free martial arts to kids.
As a lifelong athlete, Mollii understands how sports and physical activity can change one’s life for the better. She first immigrated to the U.S. as a young child, and it was through her love of sports that she was able to quickly adapt to a new country and language. When Mollii isn’t teaching or training, you can find her slurping on a giant bowl of ramen noodles or climbing up the nearest coconut tree.
Karin Spirn
Instructor
Karin Spirn has trained in various martial arts since 2003. The bulk of her training has been in Chinese kickboxing (San-Shou), but has also trained extensively in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and Tai Chi.
She loves working with students from beginner to advanced, and has experience teaching women, LGBTQ students, and students with disabilities and fitness challenges. She believes martial arts can benefit everyone who practices at any level, from basic movement training and choreographed forms to sparring and competition.
Cha Apostal
Instructor
Cha holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlson Gracie. She is also a black belt in a freestyle martial art that focuses on self-defense. In addition, Cha spent the past 15 years training in other combat martial arts, including boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Judo, Capoeira and Kali.

Currently, Cha actively competes, teaches Jiu-jitsu and self-defense in Oakland.
